“Never forget”

Dear America,

17 years ago…time to put away our wet hankies and get real. Actually way past time. Way, way past time. Way, way, way past time.

Whatever your opinions or theories might be of what happened that day – and believe me, I have plenty of my own questions and opinions – there are now indisputable facts and history to review of the consequences. What has happened since?

Here’s the summary of US direct military activities in the ME:

1) Never forget: 17 years of war in Afghanistan on top of ten years spent in war there from 1979-1989 when we supported, armed and trained the Taliban and other extremist groups … who we’ve been fighting since 2001. 2) Never forget: 15 years of war in Iraq, originally fighting Saddam – who was originally ‘our guy’ to begin with and whom we aided in launching some of the worst chemical attacks in history against Iran. 3) Never forget: 7 years of war in Libya and the Pentagon wants to “go on the offensive” – against – get this – the “rebels” we supported and cheered as “freedom fighters” while they sodomized Qaddafi with a bayonet and murdered him and the whole country along with him. A war proven to have been based on pure lies. Libya is in shambles. 4) Never forget: 3 years of war in Syria though in fact, the war was created by the US, UK and other allies after stirring up and supporting “rebels” prior to 2011. A war easily proven to have been based on pure lies. Syria is not in shambles in spite of the US and its allies best efforts to make it so. 5) Never forget: Over 2,000,000 and maybe as many as 6,000,000 people are dead now in these and other countries, including Yemen and Somalia, who were not enemies of the US nor involved in 9/11, in countries that were no threat to the US nor involved in 9/11 including thousands of Americans needlessly sacrificed. https://consortiumnews.com/…/how-many-millions-have-been-k…/

8)Never forget: These reckless, deadly, and destructive wars have created a system that’s completely run amok and ready to self-destruct with corruption. Retired Colonel Patrick Lang was at one time the head of Defense Intelligence Agency’s operations in the Middle East. 9) Never forget: That as I write this post, the US government is threatening war – more war – against Syria should Syria ATTACK AL QAEDA that controls Idlib. Yes, you read that right also, 17 years after 9/11 the US is so twisted that it will wage war to protect al Qaeda in Syria.
